WHY ARE THE BRICKS WET?

In each construction it is common to see that the masters wet the bricks and the question we have always asked ourselves is because they do it or it is a custom, the answer to all this is very simple and it is due to the ADHERENCE that will be achieved between the mortar and brick.
remember that the brick to leave the oven inside have vacuums that when worked without moistening will get the mortar to modify its properties (alteration in the dosing of materials) because it will absorb the moisture of the mixture and as a result You will get a bad grip between the brick and the mortar.
Therefore it is recommended that the bricks before being worked should be moistened to achieve the adherence between the mortar and bricks achieving the required expectations.
